Choir Programs

The Salado Conservatory of Music offers choir for students ages 7-18. The choir members will:

  • learn excellent vocal singing technique.

  • experience a variety of excellent choral literature

  • be skilled in sight-reading and ear training

  • gain confidence in performance skills

  • develop discipline and appreciation of music

  • have a unique camaraderie with other young people in the Bell County area. 

Choir is a one-year commitment, divided by two semesters:   Fall (September-December) and Spring (January - April). Students may join the choir mid-year at the discretion of the director. Please e-mail the conservatory with your interest.

Choir members will have the opportunity to perform at the Salado Conservatory Recitals plus additional performing opportunities in the community. Our choirs have performed at local nursing homes, the Christmas on the Chisholm Trail Event in Belton, the Salado Stroll Christmas Event as well as venues such as Table Rock Theatre and Barrow Brewing Food Court  ..see Choir Schedule

Andante Choir is open to all students age 7 (by Sept 1) - 5th grade.

Mondays from 4:45p - 5:45p at the First Baptist Church Salado  

The musical word “Andante” is a word describing the rhythm being at a moderate pace.  

Allegro Choir is open to all students in 6th - 12th grade.  

Mondays from 5:15p - 6:15p at the First Baptist Church Salado.

The musical word “Allegro” describes the rhythm being at a faster pace. 

A choir t-shirt will be provided for performances and students will provide their own black shoes, black pants, black jeans or black skirts. Registration fee is waived for students who only participate in choir.
